All ADIs interested in registering with us should carefully read the below Terms & Conditions, which explain all about the reader promotion. If you agree with the contents, please click on the below link to be directed to the Registration Form (you will need to know your ADI number and specify 5 post code areas from where you would like to receive leads).
For the purposes of brevity, the acronym ADI will be used to describe all approved driving instructors throughout the British Isles. All ADIs in Great Britain participating in this promotion agree to have their details checked by the Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors to ensure that they are currently on the Register, and that they are fully qualified ADIs (sorry, but PDIs cannot take part in this promotion).
With regards to the promotion, it works like this:
1. Readers of various publications will be invited to claim a free one-hour driving lesson with a fully qualified ADI.
2. ADIs who want to participate in the promotion are invited to click on the below link and input their details and post code areas in which they would like to receive referrals from. No money at all is required at this stage.
3. As readers respond to the promotion and send in their tokens, they will be matched-up with the nearest available ADI, who will be notified by e-mail (it is essential that all participating ADIs have an e-mail address or one that they can regularly access). ADIs will be notified of a reader respondent in their particular post code area by Robell Media Promotions Ltd, who are administering the promotion.
4. You can choose to accept all or just some of the lead(s) at any time within 3 days from the time/date of the e-mail that we send you (this includes weekend days - so it’s important not to delay).
5, If you do accept any of the lead(s), we ask that you contact the reader respondent(s) at your earliest convenience in order to arrange the free one-hour driving lesson as soon as possible. After that, you are welcome to commence a full course of instruction with the reader respondent(s) in accordance with your normal terms of business, as thousands of your colleagues have already done/are currently doing.
6. In accordance with current legislation, we cannot store credit/debit card details, so if you wish to participate and obtain the lead(s), you will need to pay £10 (inclusive of VAT) per lead that you accept within the 3-day period. You can do this securely on-line with your credit/debit card via the PAY FOR LEADS link on the home page. Your card will be processed via market-leading internet service provider, Protx. You can check out their extensive bona fides at www.protx.com but remember that your card details will at no time be passed to us and nor will we have access to your card details.
7. Once your payment is processed, you will be sent full details of each lead (on e-mail).
8. If you don’t want to use your card to pay for your leads, you can send a postal order or cheque for the requisite amount (£10 per pupil lead you are accepting), but in such cases it is essential that you e-mail us within the 3-day period to let us know that you are accepting the lead(s). We will then reserve the lead(s) for you for a further 3 days whilst we await your postal order or cheque, which should be made payable to Robell Media Promotions Limited and have your full name and ADI number printed clearly on the back. Please send your postal order or cheque to: ADI Office, Robell Media Promotions Ltd, PO Box 142, Horsham, RH13 5FJ.
9. If you choose not to accept any or some of the leads, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible in order that we can re-allocate the lead(s) to another ADI. Please note that if you do not respond within the 3-day period mentioned earlier, we will automatically re-allocate the lead(s) after 72 hours - as we are obliged to allocate leads as quickly as possible.
10. If more reader respondents become available in your specified post code areas, then the process will be repeated until such time as you state that you do not want any more referrals.
11. Where there is more than one ADI registered with us in a particular postcode area, readers will be assigned on a rotational basis, in the order in which ADIs initially registered on this site.
12. If you have problems making contact with the reader, or indeed any other problems, please contact Robell Media Promotions (see Contact Us page). Please make all efforts to contact the reader respondent, including attempting to phone at various times during the day and/or evening, although if it does prove impossible - please let us know via the Contact Us link.
13. After giving the free one-hour lesson, you are welcome to continue training the reader under your normal terms of business.
14. With regards to refunding for any leads allocated, we want to be completely fair, but on the other hand, like you, we are in business and can’t refund just because the pupil lead doesn’t develop into a full-blown course of instruction for whatever reason. But there are lots of grey areas and we are quite prepared to judge each case on its merits. If you have got a problem with any of your leads, please e-mail via the Contact Us link, following which we will speak with you and the reader respondent to try and resolve the matter.
15. All we ask is that you honestly do your best to give the reader a free one-hour lesson, even though they may be difficult to get hold of or part-trained already, or simply not want any more lessons with you after the free lesson. The vast majority of pupil leads are developing into a full course of instruction for participating ADIs, but obviously this is not the case on all occasions, and it is not possible to pick and choose in these situations.
16. But if you have genuinely made good effort to contact the reader respondent and/or they tell you that they don’t now want the free lesson - then after speaking with both yourself and the reader respondent, we will refund the £10 or re-allocate you a new reader respondent. We will be fair - all we ask is the same in return.
17. One thing that has come to light is that several ADIs are fully investigating in advance with the pupil as to whether they will go on to take a full course and if not, are then not giving the free lesson and asking us for a full refund. This is not within the ‘spirit’ of the scheme, as the reader respondent is entitled to have a free lesson with an ADI, following which you are welcome (and encouraged) to pitch for a full course of instruction.
18. So please make contact with the reader respondent and give the free one-hour lesson ASAP, and then use your skills during the free lesson to encourage further training with you, and not make it a criteria that they commit to future training on the phone, before they have even met you! Bear in mind that the leads are not spurious leads as reader respondents have had to go to some length to obtain the free lesson (purchase several copies of the magazine/newspaper, collect tokens, complete coupon, write-out address, get stamp, post letter and await call etc), ensuring that the vast majority of leads are very genuine potential pupils.
19. Also, some reader respondents will not yet have a provisional licence. In fact, readers can participate in the promotion several months before their 17th birthday, making these reader respondents the ‘perfect lead’, as you have a brand new pupil ready and waiting to start training in a couple of months.
20. Of course, there is no guarantee of a response in any particular area but, if that is the case, the registration process takes only a few minutes and nothing is lost - and there is every chance of responses from your selected post code areas in future promotions.
21. In summary, all ADIs are assured that there is no catch: ‘no pupil no admin referral fee’, and if there are reader respondents in your selected postcode areas, you are always in full control as to how many readers you accept and consequently, how much you pay.
